Nils Kriedner

Background

For the last 20 years I have been self-employed - teaching meditation, yoga and other awareness methods all around the world.

During these years I have also been passionately exploring my interest for programming, design and artificial intelligence.

Around ten years ago I actively began learning web development.

Coding Education

(Tech) Education

I started just by myself - going through the Curriculum of platforms like Codecademy, Teamtreehouse, Freecodecamp, as well as taking countless Udemy courses from teachers like Colt Steele and Angela Yu - to name just two of my favorite ones.

When the covid pandemic started, I suddenly couldn't facilitate my meditation workshops and retreats for quite a while. And I decided to use the time to dive even deeper into the rabbit hole of web development.

So in 2021 I finally took a professional Fullstack Web Development bootcamp for three months (full-time) at Spiced Academy in Berlin.

Since then I have continued to learn and grow. At the moment I am just about to finish a Frontend Web Development Techdegree at Teamtrehouse that I took to sharpen my frontend skills, and also to practice helping other students and doing peer reviews of their projects.

Technologies I regularly love to use are Node.js, React, MongoDB and Sass. My favorite tech stack therefore is the MERN stack, but I also worked extensively with PostgreSQL and other technologies during the bootcamp at Spiced Academy.

Coding Vision

Vision

I am open for both freelance and employment job offers in web development, both frontend and fullstack. My dream job is to work as a web development teacher, as I have always loved to inspire and help people in their learning journeys.

My vision for Conscious Coding is to facilitate recreational 'Coding & Meditation' retreats at beautiful locations - combining the art of using the mind and the art of relaxing the mind.
